Bouley's Bread
Pretzels, Pretzel Buns, &
Pretzel Sticks
These are the real thing! German pretzels are dipped in a food grade lye solution before baking, which imparts their unique flavor and deep brown color.
Soft pretzels are notorious for staling very quickly, so I par-bake them pretzels to ensure you can keep them longer than the average 2-4 hours. If storing longer than overnight, it is best to freeze them. They can be frozen for up to a month. Thaw before baking.
To finish baking:
-
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
-
Place pretzels on a nonstick baking sheet or on baking liner.
-
Lightly brush with water and sprinkle with desired topping(s) such as salt, sesame seeds, cheese, or whatever sounds good to you.
-
Bake for 5-8 minutes or until the pretzels are deep brown.
-
Once pretzels have been fully baked, they are best eaten within an hour.
