Naan
This Indian flatbread is tender and tasty. Yogurt in the dough serves as a conditioner that softens the texture and provides a slight tang. Naan is a delicious accompaniment to grilled meats, stews, Mediterrean salads, and much more.
To serve the naan, simply grill on both sides or put in the toaster until crisp. When toasting is complete, top with melted butter (preferably the traditional ghee) and fresh herbs like cilantro, parsley, or chives. Garlic is also a good addition to the melted butter.
Ghee is essentially clarified butter. To make clarified butter, heat a stick of butter over medium-low heat until melted. The white milk solids will sink to the bottom. Scoop off the golden butterfat and discard the milk solids. There’s your clarified butter.
